Scoil Naomh Lorcan

Dear Parents,

I would like to remind you about our biggest fundraiser of the year, The Long Woman's 5k, which is

taking place on the greenway at 7pm tomorrow. It would be fantastic to see a big turnout for this

event. I would also like to bring to your attention the fact that last night, somebody cut down safety signs

that were put up along the Greenway. This is very disappointing. Our secretary, Fiona, has worked

tirelessly to organise this important fundraiser for the school. The children of Scoil Naomh Lorcan

benefit greatly from the Greenway. We do regular cycles and walks, and without the Greenway, our

ability to teach PE in bad weather would be greatly reduced, owing to the fact that we have no PE

room. Our pupils love cycling and get an opportunity that few other schools in the country are in a

position to avail of. I hope that you all come out in solidarity with us to support the Long Woman's

5k tomorrow night and make this the biggest and best race yet.
